When a transfer contains multiple files, the Download All button lets recipients grab everything at once in a single ZIP archive.
How it works
On any HeftySend download page with more than one file, there is a "Download All" button near the top. Click it and the platform begins packaging all the files into a ZIP archive. Once it is ready, the download starts automatically.
For larger transfers, the ZIP may take a moment to prepare before the download begins. This is normal. The page will show progress so you know it is working.
When to use Download All
The Download All option is ideal when:
- You want all the files in one place without downloading them one by one
- You are saving the files to a specific folder and want to keep them together
- There are many files in the transfer and clicking individually would take too long
The 10 GB ZIP limit
The Download All button is capped at 10 GB per transfer. If the total size of the transfer is over 10 GB, the ZIP option is unavailable and the page will say so.
Download All works for transfers up to 10 GB in total. For larger transfers, download the files individually from the same page (see below). Individual downloads work at any transfer size, all the way up to the 4 TB single file maximum on Ultra.
What to do when a transfer is over the cap
The download page still works exactly as normal for an over cap transfer. You just use the individual file buttons instead of Download All:
- Open the download page from the link the sender shared with you.
- Find the files you want in the file list.
- Click the download button next to each file (or use the top level Download button if there is only one file).
You can pick and choose which files to download, or grab all of them one after another. Browser download managers handle the queue fine.

Why is there a limit?
Packaging dozens or hundreds of files into one archive in a single shot is reliable up to a point, then it stops being reliable. Above roughly 10 GB the chance that the connection drops, the browser stalls, or the archive ends up incomplete climbs sharply. That is a much worse experience than just downloading the files individually, which is rock solid at any size.
The 10 GB cap is the largest ZIP we are confident we can deliver in one go for every recipient on every connection. Anything bigger and we would rather hand you the individual files cleanly than hand you a broken archive.
Individual downloads are always available
Even on transfers small enough for Download All, each file on the page has its own download button. You never have to take everything at once. If you only need a couple of files out of a long list, the individual buttons are the fastest path.
