Every HeftySend transfer has an expiry date. After that date, the link stops working and the files are no longer available for download.
Expiry options by plan
| Plan | Maximum expiry |
|---|---|
| Free | 3 days |
| Premium | 365 days |
| Ultra | No expiry |
| Lifetime | No expiry |
How to set the expiry
When creating a transfer, choose the expiry duration from the options available. The maximum shown will depend on your current plan.
Once a transfer is created, the expiry cannot be extended beyond your plan limit. If you need files to stay available longer, consider upgrading before sharing.
What happens when a transfer expires
Once a transfer reaches its expiry date:
- The download link stops working
- Recipients who open the link will see a message that the transfer has expired
- The files are removed from storage
If you need to share the files again after expiry, simply create a new transfer.
